About Erica

Erica Firpo is a freelance writer, cultural consultant, media strategist and backseat driver living in Rome, Italy.  She’s contributing editor for Fathom , corespondent for Forbes Travel and hosts an Italy-focused blog on Huffington Post.  Additionally, she provides social media consulting for American Institute of Roman Culture, cultural heritage non-profit. Her passion is cultivating the fine lines between art and travel. Since childhood, she has been back and forth between Italy and the US with a wanderlust based on street food, art and culture.

Fine details: B.A in History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania, and participated in a Master’s painting program from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.  PR and curatorial positions at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. Book author for Insight Guides, Fodors and her own self-published series Little Black Book Rome and Little Black Book Copenhagen.
