About Erica

Erica Firpo is a freelance journalist and social media strategist living in Rome, Italy whose  passion is cultivating the fine lines between art and travel. .  She’s contributing editor for Fathom , corespondent for Forbes Travel and ANSA in English, and hosts a travel blog on Huffington Post.  She’s contributed to numerous publications including AFAR, New York Times Travel, BBC Travel, Yahoo Travel and Travel + Leisure as well as writing feature cover stories for Discovery Magazine. Additionally, she provides social media consulting for American Institute of Roman Culture, cultural heritage non-profit, and speaks  about social media in workshops and conferences in English and Italian.

Since childhood, she has been back and forth between Italy and the US with a wanderlust based on street food, art and culture. Fine details: B.A in History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania, and participated in a Master’s painting program from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.  PR and curatorial positions at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. Book author for Insight Guides, Fodors and her own self-published series Little Black Book Rome and Little Black Book Copenhagen.
